A gently winding trail makes its way through the natural desert vegetation and shows the rider an extensive array of cacti and desert trees. The trail continues up a slope to a historic desert mountain trails, climbing along a hillside, giving the rider a panoramic view of the surrounding Sonoran Desert Foothills. As you break off from the main trail, the horses cross Cave Creek - often flowing in the winter months.

For a real treat of the unspoiled desert wilderness, this trail meanders along a dry wash edged with lush desert foliage; and with luck, you can see coyote and mule deer who inhabit the area. The views are outstanding. The silence is a pleasure. Ride through water in Cave Creek when the water is seasonally running.
